Nya data för simeprevir kommer att presenteras vid EASL:s ”International Liver Congress 2015”

Stockholm — Medivir AB (Nasdaq Stockholm: MVIR) meddelar idag att ny kliniska data för simeprevir, en NS3/4A proteashämmare för behandling av hepatit C virus infektion, kommer att presenteras av vår partner Janssen Sciences Ireland UC i samband med The International Liver Congress™ 2015 of the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL) i Wien, den 22-26 april.

I ett flertal nyckelpresentationer kommer effekt, säkerhet och tolerabilitet av simeprevir i olika kombinationsbehandlingar beskrivas baserat på data från och fas II- och fas III-studier samt från klinisk användning (så kallad ”real-world data”).

Totalt kommer 12 abstracts presenteras som visar på olika behandlingsmöjligheter för hepatit C inklusive tre ”late-breaker” abstracts med simeprevir.

Om Simeprevir (OLYSIO®)
Simeprevir är en NS3/4A‐proteashämmare som utvecklas gemensamt av Janssen Sciences Ireland UC och Medivir som är godkänd för behandling av kronisk hepatit C‐infektion som en del av en antiviral kombinationsbehandling. Effekten vid behandling med simeprevir har fastställts i genotyp 1 och genotyp 4 hepatit C‐ patienter med kompenserad leversjukdom, inklusive cirros.
